GO! Alabama Beauty-10" Finished Die

The AccuQuilt GO! Alabama Beauty die cuts four shapes for a complete three-colour, 10" finished quilt block in a single pass. This Block on Board® (BOB®) design takes the template cutting out of a classic block, while specialized dog-eared corners, built-in 1/4" seam allowances and notches on the curves help you line up your pieces for easier sewing. Choose contrasting fat quarters to bring the block’s curved, bloom-like design to life in quilts, runners and other patchwork projects.

How to Die Cut Alabama Beauty Quilt Blocks:

For best cutting results, position fabric on the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it passes under the roller. Prepare the following fabric pieces for one complete three-colour, 10" finished block. Approximate metre yields below refer to preparation rectangles, not complete blocks.

• Shape A / Fabric Colour 1 — Cut four 8-1/8" x 4" rectangles. Place right side up over shape A to cut. Cut 4 preparation rectangles across 100 cm wide fabric. 1 metre of 100 cm wide fabric yields approximately 36 preparation rectangles for shape A.
• Shape B / Fabric Colour 2 — Cut four 6" x 2-1/2" rectangles. Place right side up over shape B to cut. Cut 6 preparation rectangles across 100 cm wide fabric. 1 metre of 100 cm wide fabric yields approximately 90 preparation rectangles for shape B.
• Shapes C / Fabric Colour 3 — Cut two 6-1/4" x 8-1/2" rectangles. Fanfold the rectangles, then place over shapes C to cut mirrored pieces. Cut 6 preparation rectangles across 100 cm wide fabric. 1 metre of 100 cm wide fabric yields approximately 24 preparation rectangles for shapes C, before fanfolding.
