Cottage Quilting prides itself in giving back to the community in which we live in.  It is really important to help those that are living here in the Okanagan.  We recognize that not everyone is as fortunate as us and we appreciate your help and support in giving back!  Join us this year will you?

Nov 4 - 25 2024 Food Drive

Cottage Quilting has chosen the Central Okanagan Food Bank this year as their charity of choice to help.  It is always important to the Cottage Quilting Family to give back to the community we live in.

If you are an online shopper:

You can add $20 to your cart and we will pass your funds, name and address on to the COFB so that they can send you a tax receipt! If you add a donation to your cart, we will spin for you and add any prizes or gifts to your order.

If you are an in person shopper:

If you would rather make a food donation in person, please visit us in store.  For a minimum of three (3) items donated in store, we are going to do a spin to win opportunity for free gifts and discounts.  You can also make a monetory donation as well.

Each month, over 10,000 individuals rely on the support of the Central Okanagan Food Bank. These are our neighbours, friends, and fellow community members who, due to various circumstances, struggle to put food on their tables. With your help, we can continue to provide them with hope and sustenance. Your donation, no matter the size, goes a long way in feeding those in need.

Together, we can make a difference in our neighbours' lives, ensuring that everyone can end their day with a full plate and a full heart.

This year looks so different and we know how important mental health awareness is.   If you don't know, Meagan has worked with not only women and children but also teens.  She worked closely with various groups in the past when she lived in Alberta and when she was approached by Foundry it was important to help the youth of BC as well.   They are our future.  Meagan has always felt strongly about helping women and children, especially those in our community.  Her vision of the quilting bee and circle is what she strives for.  We all need a little help, we all need a friend to lean on.   We can be that friend.

We will continue to support the Karis Society and Foundry Kelowna

The Foundry - Kelowna is a province-wide network of integrated health and social service centres for young people ages 12-24. Foundry centres provide a one-stop-shop for young people to access mental health care, substance use services, primary care, social services and youth and family peer supports.  We are working with the Kelowna division.

Kelowna Foundry provides safe, non-judgmental care, information and resources, and work to reach young people earlier – before health challenges become problematic. Foundry brings health and social services together in a single place to make it easier for young people to find the care, connection and support they need
