- projects should be able to be completed in 1-4 classes

From learning the basics to understanding today’s new techniques and equipment, we offer a wide selection of courses, ranging from single classes, to a once-a-week or once-a-month programs, special-interest groups and social clubs. We provide the space, advertising and support that you need. You provide the tips, tricks, techniques and guidance that our students are looking for.

Skills:
- Able to speak in front of a class of four to as many as twenty students

Duties:
- Preparing classroom and classroom equipment for classes
- Preparing handouts, kits and other course material for distribution

Sewing Sales Associate - Full
We are seeking a team member who is a qualified and experienced Sales Consultant.
Duties:
The Sales Consultants responsible for successfully creating and closing high end sewing machine sales at a high rate as well as providing excellent customer service. The ability to learn quickly and remain extremely knowledgeable in an ever-growing industry is essential.
Expectations

Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills.

- 5 years minimum previous sales experience

Sales Associate Description
Our Floor Staff are the front-line connection to our customers. You are responsible for ensuring a pleasant experience both in our store and over the phone. You provide service and support in selecting and cutting of fabrics, notions, tools and all other sewing-related items. You will assist our customers in finding the right sewing or embroidery machine that suits their needs. You will be responsible for any trouble shooting of their machine and if it is something simple we can fix in store we will, otherwise we will coordinate service for there.

LONG ARM QUILTING SPECIALIST - FULL
Longarm Quilter
Cottage Quilting Company Ltd. has an immediate opening for a Longarm Quilter. Experience is an asset, but not a requirement. Training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Job Description
Position: Longarm Quilter
Location: Kelowna BC
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Preparing quilt tops for quilting service
- Operating Computerized Longarm Quilting Machine (training will be provided)
- Operating domestic sewing machine
- Discussing quilting options with customers, in person and over the phone, to help fulfil their vision of the completed project
- Responsible for exceeding expectations by listening to customers’ needs and finding solutions to those needs
- Advising customers about colour and design choices for quilting projects
- Able to work with minimal supervision
Key Competencies Needed:
- You have a can-do attitude, self-discipline and tons of motivation
- You are flexible and love learning new things
- You love taking responsibility for tasks and completing them while exceeding expectations
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, reach, push and pull while operating a longarm quilting machine, and possess the stamina to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Good math and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communications skills
- You love talking to people on the phone and face-to-face
- Above average computer skills are a must
- Sewing or quilting experience is preferred, however not a requirement.
This is a long-term role with our growing company. Our hours of work can range from 9 am until 7 pm, Monday through Saturday. Please do not apply if you are looking for a short-term position or are not able to work the full range of hours required.
This position will begin with part-time and grow to full time as the company expands. Hours will vary depending on company growth. (Starting hours will be between 15 - 25 hours a week and be adjusted depending on business needs.) During high-volume times, extended work hours, including evenings and Sundays, may be required.
