The standard stitch plate,, also known as a zig zag stitch plate, needle or throat plate, covers the stitching area of a sewing machine, leaving the feed dog exposed and an opening for the needle.
BERININA stitch plates are easily removable without the use of tools for ease in cleaning the feed dog area. Each machine comes equipped with a stitch plate designed for the widest stitch available on that particular model – 5.5 or 9 mm.
Other stitch plates are optional accessories that accommodate specific accessories and/or are used for certain techniques.
