Cottage Quilting has also chosen support Kelowna - Foundry this year as their charity of choice to help. It is always important to the Cottage Quilting Family to give back to the community we live in.
Foundry is a province-wide network of integrated health and social service centres for young people ages 12-24. Foundry centres provide a one-stop-shop for young people to access mental health care, substance use services, primary care, social services and youth and family peer supports. We are working with the Kelowna division.
Kelowna Foundry provides safe, non-judgmental care, information and resources, and work to reach young people earlier – before health challenges become problematic. Foundry brings health and social services together in a single place to make it easier for young people to find the care, connection and support they need.
Cottage Quilting is going to MATCH dollar for dollar raised between now and December 20th. All monies earned will be donated towards food and we will host a dinner for those that are less fortunate than us (details to come if you're interested in helping). All dollars that are over and above food costs will go towards gift items and shelter needs.
