Six slip pockets on the exterior provide easy access to tools and supplies and a zippered pocket on one end keeps personal items safe and secure.
Expanding dividers on the inside open to organize a multitude of supplies or collapse to fall flat against the interior of the caddy affording a wide-open interior for plenty of storage possibilities.
This Caddy can be an organizer for your sewing tools, for baby items for a new mom.

I never knew how much I needed this caddy until I made one! All my tools were all over my table, under my fabric, all over the place! This caddy allows you to have everything organized!

Class Requirements:

Saturday 9:30 arrival

Class 10:00 am- 3 pm (3:00 - 4:00 finishing up if necessary)

Please ensure you have a sewing machine that has an adjustable foot that can be raised to accommodate bulky layers

Please have your bobbins wound with thread to match your Main, Lining, Coordinating fabric and Zipper tape.

Decide in advance which fabrics will be used for the Main, Lining, Outside Pockets (lining and outside), Dividers (lining and outside), Binding.

Prepared Caddy front/back, side strip, Pockets A&B, Pockets C&D

Pre cut pieces as check marked on your handout

Zipper - Handbag zippers preferred: One 9” or longer single slide

Thread (to compliment main fabric, lining, zipper tape) prepare bobbins with these 3 threads
-
Base stabilizer (Foam core, plexiglass or heavy cardboard) : approx 5 3/4" x 12 (do not cut until the end of the project)

Sewing machine in good working order with walking foot, ¼” foot, zipper foot (if you have one)

Basic sewing supplies: new needles, wonder clips/pins, rotary cutter, stiletto(if you have one), scissors, thread, white chalk marker, erasable marking pens

Cutting mat, quilting rulers, small iron.

Handle hardware if you are making the handles

Please come to class with the Caddy front/back, pockets A & B, C & D and the Side Strip top stitched.HOW TO PREPARE: Sandwich your top and bottom fabrics between your Soft and Stable foam, top stitch using straight lines or free motion using a walking foot (please ask to see our samples in store) please then trim to the required size (top of page 3 in your pattern) and sew around the perimeter at 1/8" from the edge (this seals your topstitching and decreases bulk on the sewing edge)NOTE: I prefer to cut each piece out (larger than the trim size) and top stitch each individually, some prefer to top stitch larger pieces then cut each piece out.
