Description

Welcome to the Ruler Work Linen Tote Class (6.5 Hours + KIt, just bring you and your machine)

Ruler work is one of the hottest quilting techniques out there and is especially wonderful for those who find free-motion quilting a challenge.

 What you'll learn:

We are going to spend the day experimenting with rulers as we quilt one of the most difficult designs, a detailed medallion, and then transform the linen panel into a fashionable tote bag. We are also going to review different ruler shapes and how to quilt with them including concentric circles and ovals, clam shells, orange peel, and borders. By the end of this class you will have a better idea on how and where to use the different motifs for your quilt blocks. Open to all ruler shapes and machine brands.

Roberta Wynnyk

Roberta comes to us from BERNINA of Canada where she has worked since 2004.  She has always loved creating at the machine and started by sewing clothing for her dolls and then herself.  Her hobby lead her to the University of Alberta where she graduated with a B.Sc. in Clothing and Textiles.  As life progressed, her sewing focused on home décor, children's wear and then teaching others what they could do.  She is an accomplished seamstress and loves using digitizing software and embroidery on all her projects.  Her newest venture is into quilting with rulers and she has written a Ruler Work technique book.
