Thank you for signing up for the By Annie's Ditty Bag Class
You will love this little ditty bag! It has so many uses. It is 6x10x3, it can hold sewing tools, cosmetics, or your little ditties! This class is skill building, you will learn to install a zipper, bind on a curve, sew corners, make bias binding, for an added bonus, you can add a mesh pocket and fold over elastic separations. You could even add a layer of iron on vinyl to protect the fabric inside from liquids. These basics will set you up for success for future 'by Annie' bags.

Main Fabric Fat Quarter (small medium bag) .5m (large bag)
Lining Fabric Fat Quarter (small medium bag) .5m (large bag)
Coordinating Fabric Fat Quarter for any size
Soft and Stable 12x12 (sm) 16x16 (md) 20x20 (lg)
Zipper 14" (sm) 16" (md) 18" (lg)
Basic Sewing Supplies, machine, thread, cutting mat, etc.

Class Prep please:
I would advise that we all make the LARGE size together as it is the easiest - the smaller the bag, the more difficult it is.
PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE USING SOFT AND STABLE FOAM
Please prepare in advance of the class:
Please bring your QUILTED 20 x 20 to class and we can 'trim to size' the Bag Body and two Bag Sides together.
If 20 x 20 is too large for you to quilt on your domestic machine, this large size can be awkward.
I suggest quilting the Body and sides separately, then trimming to size, your Bag Body and sides should be quilted at 1" larger than the size you are trimming to as the fabric shrinks when quilted.
Sandwich your main fabric + foam + lining fabric cut out at the sizes below then we will trim them to the proper size together in class.
Bag Body : sandwich all layers at 18 ¾ x 14 ½ we will trim this to the correct size together
Bag sides x 2 : sandwich all layers at 6 ½ x 4 ½ we will trim these to the correct size together
Please have these pieces cut out ( IN INCHES) : as directed on page 2 of the pattern
