Learn how to felt wool by hand with a basic wet felting class, interested in developing some texture and custom woolen/silk fabric for your next project… please join Denise Oyelese to create one 12x8 piece of fabric and one smaller piece. We will limit the colour palette to either one of blue, green, brown and one surprise bright colour. All supplies will be provided with the class.
What you'll learn:
Wet felting can be used as the base for needle felting crafts. They are perfect to make shapes like felt sheets, felt balls, hearts, etc. Wet felting is also perfect to make sturdy items like bags, cat caves, hats, etc.
The tiny scales on the hair lift up when they are put into hot water and then they slowly fuse together as they rub back and forth against each other. Once felting has occurred, it can't be undone! Wool from sheep is especially good to use in the felting process.
