Welcome to the Shades of Scarlet Bag, a Serger Class (6.5 Hours + KIt, just bring you and your machine)

Get the most out of your serger! You will become familiar with all aspects of your serger while creating this exotic jewel-toned bag.

The shimmery silk taffeta and dupioni strips are serged, embellished and then a zipper and wire cage are inserted to enable easy access to the ribbon trimmed clear pockets on the inside.

Use the bag to organize accessories, jewelry, or add a handle and wear it when you go out.

    Kit to Make the Bag: 

    Kit: $65 VALUE. Includes all specialty and regular threads, pre-cut silk strips, coordinating lining, stabilizer, wire frame, zipper, trims and pattern. Bag is 12”X9”X5”.

    Supplies required to bring:

    • Serger in good working order, including power cord, foot control, table adaptors, screwdrivers, oil, manual and all accessories that came with your - just in case.

    Roberta comes to us from BERNINA of Canada where she has worked since 2004.  She has always loved creating at the machine and started by sewing clothing for her dolls and then herself.  Her hobby lead her to the University of Alberta where she graduated with a B.Sc. in Clothing and Textiles.  As life progressed, her sewing focused on home décor, children's wear and then teaching others what they could do.  She is an accomplished seamstress and loves using digitizing software and embroidery on all her projects.  Her newest venture is into quilting with rulers and she has written a Ruler Work technique book.
