Piece quilt blocks with a consistent seam allowance using the BERNINA Patchwork Foot #37 or #37D. Its flat sole and narrow thread channel help fabric feed smoothly, while three side markings spaced 1/4" apart make it easier to position pieces for precise patchwork joins. Choose the version that fits your BERNINA machine from the variant selector above.
Key Features:
Precise Patchwork Seams — Designed for straight stitching with 1/4" or 1/8" seam allowances.
Side Markings — Three markings spaced 1/4" apart help line up fabric when joining patchwork pieces.
Flat Sole and Thread Channel — A narrow groove underneath gives the thread room to move for smoother piecing.
How to Know Which Foot You Need:
Check Your Machine Generation — Older mechanical or electronic BERNINA machines, such as the 1000, 1008, 1130 or 1530 series, may use an old-style/old-shank foot. Look for the dual-prong attachment rather than the solid front of a new-style foot.
Check Stitch Width and Dual Feed — Match the foot style to your machine’s features:
5.5 mm — Generally choose a standard, no-letter foot such as #37.
9 mm without Dual Feed — C feet are designed for these machines. This listing does not currently offer a C variant.
9 mm with Dual Feed — D feet, such as #37D, are designed to work with Dual Feed.
Newer BERNINA Machines — Newer machines can accept standard, C and D feet, but a foot’s special features only work when the machine supports them. For example, choosing a D foot does not add Dual Feed to a machine without it. Check your machine model and select the appropriate option above.
