Bernina Standard/Zig Zag Stitch Plate - Sewing Machine

The Bernina Standard/Zig Zag Stitch Plate covers the stitching area while leaving openings for the feed dogs and needle, supporting everyday sewing with the appropriate stitch width for your machine. Also called a needle plate or throat plate, it is available in model-specific 5.5 mm and 9 mm options.

Choose the plate for your exact machine model and intended stitch width before ordering.

Key Features:

• Everyday Stitching — Standard/zigzag plate options for utility sewing, selected to suit your machine and stitch width.
• Model-Specific Design — Needle and feed-dog openings vary by machine model; plates are not interchangeable simply because their stitch widths match.
• 5.5 mm and 9 mm Options — Select the appropriate model and width from the variant selector above.
• Easy Cleaning Access — Removable plate provides access to the feed-dog area for cleaning. Follow your machine manual for removal and refitting.
• B990 Sensor Options — Listed choices include a 9 mm plate with sensor and a 5.5 mm BSR needle plate with sensor.

Choose the Correct Plate:

Match your exact machine model, plate width and part number using the tables below and the variant selector above. Entries marked NLA are identified as no longer available. A narrower plate does not permit wider stitches; check your stitch settings and machine manual before sewing.
