Longarm Quilting Prices | Edge-to-Edge & Custom Rates

Our longarm quilting prices are based on the size of your quilt. We offer three edge-to-edge packages depending on what materials you bring, plus custom quilting options for more intricate designs.

All prices are in CAD and subject to change. Loading and squaring your completed quilt are included in all quilting fees. We use Fil-Tec Glide Polyester thread unless otherwise requested.

Edge-to-Edge Quilting Packages

Package 1 — $0.03 per sq. inch

You provide: quilt top + backing + batting
We complete your chosen edge-to-edge design.

Package 2 — $0.04 per sq. inch

You provide: quilt top + backing
We include Hobbs 80/20 batting at no extra charge.
If you prefer cotton or wool batting, you’ll be charged at the Package 1 rate plus the cost of your chosen batting.

Package 3 — $0.05 per sq. inch

You provide: quilt top only
We include Hobbs 80/20 batting + cotton backing at no extra charge.
If you prefer Fireside or Cuddle backing, you’ll be charged at the Package 1 rate plus the cost of your chosen backing.

Custom Quilting

Custom quilting prices vary based on quilt size and design complexity. Each quilt is discussed individually — rates range from $0.06 to $0.12 per sq. inch. Loading and squaring are included.

How to Estimate Your Cost

Multiply your quilt’s height (inches) × width (inches) × your package rate, then add the flat thread & needle fee.

Example (80" × 80" quilt, Package 1):
80 × 80 = 6,400 sq. inches
6,400 × $0.03 = $192.00
+ $8.00 thread & needle fee
= $200.00 estimated total

Additional Fees

  • Thread & new needle (flat rate): $8.00 per quilt
  • Adding leaders to quilt back (if backing is not large enough): $20.00
  • Piecing & squaring backing: $25.00
  • Fixing open seams: $35.00

Binding Services

  • Attach your pre-prepared binding (machine sewn, front & back): $0.25 per linear inch of quilt perimeter
    Example: 72 + 72 + 80 + 80 = 304 linear inches × $0.25 = $76.00
  • We prepare & attach binding (machine sewn, front & back): $0.35 per linear inch of quilt perimeter

Optional Add-Ons

  • Custom quilt label: $35.00
