HSTs are one of the top building blocks in quilting — included in thousands of patterns — and this die eliminates the guesswork entirely. Each shape includes 1/4" seam allowances and dog-eared corners for easy alignment and piecing. Two triangles sewn together form a 4 1/2" finished square. A great way to work through your stash or Layer Cake and Fat Quarter cuts.
How to Die Cut 4 1/2" Finished Half Square Triangles:
For best cutting results, position fabric on the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it goes under the roller.
- Cut a 6" strip across the width of fabric. Fanfold into 5 7/8" widths. Place on selected blade and cut. Cuts 12 half square triangles across the width; 1 metre of 100 cm wide fabric yields approximately 72 half square triangles.
