Welcome to Quilt as you Go - 9 Patch & Sashing - Techniques Class (10hr Total)
Join us for two afternoons of sewing from 1030am-330pm. In this session you will learn the quilt as you go method while creating a 9 Patch quilt and adding Sashing. When you register in class 1, you will be automatically registered in class 2 which is blanked out as a place holder for the session.
We have created this as a series if you like. You can sign up for one class, two classes, or all three classes. The more you sign up for the more you will save.

What you'll learn:
You will learn how to piece this lap size quilt while creating a series of 9 patches and adding sashing. You will learn to quilt this with an 8 point star quilting method. You will also be adding borders and completing those with a quilting method.
Supplies you need:
- 1m each of two coordinating fabrics, please cut into 4.5" each (you should have 72 squares of each color)
- 2.5m for backing, please cut into 16 - 13.5" Squares
- 3m for sashing and borders
- 1/2m for binding (or you can create a scrappy border and use remaining bits from the above fabrics)
- 1.5m of batting, precut 16 - 13" squares (yes 13") *Do NOT cut the rest of your batting, but please bring it as we will cut as required in class
- Sewing Machine
- Fabric and thread to match
- Medium cutting mat and rotary cutter
- 6" x 24" Ruler for cutting
- Large squaring up ruler
- Walking foot
- Pins, Seam Ripper, Scissors etc
- Acorn Precision Piecing Water Soluble Glue
