Welcome to Quilt as you Go - Tree Skirt Class (6hr Total)
Join us for a full day of sewing from 10:00am-4:00pm. In this session you will learn the quilt as you go tree skirt.
Put an exciting spin on the traditional Christmas tree skirt! This eye-catching tree skirt is so fun to make! Finishes to approximately 40in in diameter.
What you'll learn:
You will learn how to piece this tree skirt quilt together and compete in a quilt as you go method along with a binding.
In this class you will have 1 of 3 options: You must select from the Calendar Drop down which variant you want
To complete this class you do need 1 of 3 kits, you can use some of your own fabric if you choose that is no problem, but yes you require the batting and the template. It is included in your class fee based on which variant you select. We have reduced kit by the class 15% for you already.
1) VARIANT ONE - BARGELLO TREE SKIRT, MATCH SAMPLE complete the Bargello Tree Skirt as per the image. We have kits available that you can purchase to match this tree skirt exactly the same. This kit will include, the bargello pattern, the fabric for the top and binding, the batting kit and template, and basic pattern. Does not include backing.
2) VARIANT TWO - BARGELLO TREE SKIRT, OWN FABRIC complete the class using your own fabric (see below for fabric requirements. This kit will include your bargello pattern, batting, template and basic pattern. Does not include backing.
3) VARIANT THREE - BASIC TREE SKIRT complete the class using your own fabric (see below for fabric requirements. This kit will include your batting, template and basic pattern. Does not include backing.
Class Prep: Bargello option 1 or 2 only
If you have selected Variant one or two and are completing the bargello series, you need to complete the following:
If option 1, please come pick up your fabric kit and have all your fabric cut into 2.5" strips
If option 2, please have the below listed fabric cut into 2.5" strips

- Sewing machine
- 1/4" sewing foot
- Marking tools
- Rotary Cutter
- Grey thread
- Red thread for binding
- 1.25M for backing
- PLEASE COME PICK UP YOUR KIT PRIOR TO CLASS AND CUT THE FOLLOWING ITEMS INTO 2.5" STRIPS
- 1/4m EACH of four green fabrics **
- 1/4m EACH of four red fabrics **
- 1/2m EACH of four white fabrics **
- OPTION 2: Bargello, my own fabric tree skirt
- Sewing machine
- 1/4" sewing foot
- Marking tools
- Rotary Cutter
- Grey thread
- Top thread to match your binding
- 1.25m for backing
- Please come pick up your fabric kit and have the 4 .25m greens, .25m reds, .5m whites, cut in 2.5" Strips
- FABRIC requirements, please note ** fabrics need to be cut in 2.5" strips for class

- 1/2m EACH of four white fabrics **
- 3/4m of fabric for bias binding
